A New Year, A New Begining..

Yes, we are aware that it's already February of 2008. As soon as the new year came in we thought it would be a perfect time to start a blogspot. We have a lot of wonderful events in our lives coming up and want to be able to share them with our family and friends. We hope that you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoy sharing them!

Here's a quick re-cap of where our lives currently stand:

Dan - Is on his 3rd year as a commerical plumber. He just finished a very exciting job building the new Seahawks practice stadium. Over the summer he sold his 72' C-10 Truck and bought a Chevy Malibu. He has it torn apart and re-painted. The hot-rod hobby had to be put on hold for a bit while we focus on more important things in our lives.

Katie - Is still working at the blood bank in Tacoma (going on 5 years) as a Laboratory Technical Assitant. She really enjoys her job, but hopes to someday run a small business from their home. Her hobbies include reading, crochet/knitting and The FoodNetwork.

Alyssa - Is 8 years old and in the 2nd Grade. She loves Math and Science. Her teacher has spent a majority of the year teaching them about the Native Americans. This is by far Alyssa's favorite subject. This spring Alyssa and Katie get to take a trip with the class to Tillicum Villiage to learn more!! For information visit: http://www.tillicumvillage.com/index.html. Alyssa is also very active in Girl Scouts and has been for a few years now. It has given her so many great opportunities. Alyssa also loves to cook... Her weekend breakfasts are hard to beat!

The three of us have a very close relationship and really enjoy spending time together. Lately we have been reading the Spiderwich Chronicles. Any free time we get we either watch movies or play board games.

Katie,
You amaze me with your writing. When and where did you pick up such a talent? I'm thinking about sharing some of your blog spots with "MRS. SCHOTT!!!" She will be so happy to see that a little bit of her hard work does end up paying out later. You make your dad and me so proud of all of you. Even though we miss you more than words can describe, we know you're right where life wants you to be (for now anyway). Give Dan and Alyssa and yourself a big hug from your dad and me. WE love and miss you all so much. I know times are hard right now but I know you will take the experience for granted and make the best out of it!!! Take time for big breaths and to "really" enjoy the positive things life has given all three of you.
Love Mom and Dad
